Plexitone Question

Hello!!
i just purchased a DC drive and i have to say its the best distortion box i have tried .this is the tone i have been trying to obtain for years with a stompbox.anyway,i have been interested in the Plexitone for some time now and was wandering if the DC drive is essentially a Plexitone in a more economical package.what will the Plexitone do differently than the DC drive ?are they voiced similar? i want to purchase a Plexitone but dont want to have two similar sounding units.please advise!!

They are not sharing much other than the basic overdrive circuit, the clipcircuit and tone filter, plus a few other things are very different.
The DC is a rounder pedal tonewise, alittle more dark and wider than the PT.
The PT is much more aggressive and have more uppermids, plus a great deal more bite!
So they are not all that alike

Thanks, Niels for the info on the Plexitone i just assumed it was very similar in tone to the DC drive but, i guess it is not. i will be buying a PT soon.
