Quattro 2 Issue Empty Quattro 2 Issue

Post  RickyLee Mon May 03, 2010 12:58 am

Hello to all.

I am new here, but not new to the great Carl Martin products. I have been using the Plexi-Tone in my live setup for many years now. And I have quite a few other Carl Martin products. I have to say they are some of the best floor pedals being made today in my experience - and I have quite a bit of gear experience stemming from a serious affliction of G.A.S. LOL

I just recently picked up a Quattro version 2 and was thinking, well HOPING, the overdrive section would be similar tonally to the Plexi-Tone. The Quattro OD seems to have a lot less gain or Dirt than the Plexi-Tone for sure.

The problem I am having with the Quattro is the Chorus circuit has quite a bit of volume increase when engaged. Is there a fix for this, or a component(s) value that can be changed to fix this?

I am wondering if there is an internal trim pot for this? I have read that there is actually two trim pots inside the Quattro. I would like to know what these trim pots are for regardless.

Thanks in advance.
